The new GCMS-TQ8040 NX gas chromatography mass spectrometer is based on the Nexis GC-2030 gas chromatograph and belongs to the series of ultrafast mass spectrometers (UFMS).

The combination of the state-of-the-art Nexis GC-2030 gas chromatograph and the proven mass detector model provides a powerful and easy-to-use system - a three-quadrupole gas chromatomass spectrometer - GCMS-TQ8040 NX.

Operating modes: electron impact, chemical ionization with registration of positively and negatively charged ions.
The GCMS-TQ8040 NX has an ion source that features high sensitivity and long-term stability, as well as a highly efficient collision cell, which provides a sensitive and stable analysis over a long period of time. New controllers for the Nexis GC-2030 gas chromatograph provide high-precision
flow and temperature control for highly reliable data.

Active time management function (to track operating / downtime, maintenance times) enables efficient use of the system and increases uptime.

Available options:

- The ability to connect two columns to the mass spectrometer - reduces the time required to replace the column
- Possibility of connecting a direct input device to the mass spectrometer
- The ability to service the injection port without shutting down the mass spectrometer, which significantly reduces the time spent on maintenance
- GCMS-TQ8040 NX can be equipped with optional: multifunctional autosampler AOC-6000, headspace sampler HS-20, multifunctional injection system OPTIC-4, thermal desorber TD-30.

In GCMSsolution software, the Smart MRM Method Generator creates optimized analytical methods using the transition data in the Smart Database file.
If you want to perform MRM measurements on components not contained in the database, optimal transitions can be automatically found using the MRM optimization tool.
