Liquid Hybrid Quadrupole / Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer LCMS-9030

The LCMS-9030 liquid hybrid (Q-TOF) mass spectrometer combines Shimadzu's ultrafast quadrupole (Q) technology with a high-resolution time-of-flight (TOF) mass analyzer.  The LCMS-9030 solves the most challenging qualitative and quantitative analysis challenges.

The LCMS-9030 incorporates new patented technologies that provide high levels of mass resolution and accurate molecular weight determination. This is a determining factor in identifying unknown compounds and establishing the structure of molecules.

 

Ionic optics, a fast quadrupole mass analyzer and a collisional dissociation cell, successfully proven in Shimadzu tandem quadrupole mass spectrometers, allow 
quantitative determination of target components at the trace level of concentrations.

 

The new UFgrating and iRefTOF technologies accelerate ion movement during the TOF mass analyzer, resulting in quick results, making the instrument compatible with fast chromatography systems.

 

In addition to the default Electro Spray Ionization (ESI) source, the LCMS-9030 can be equipped with an Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) source and a DUIS combination ionization source. The latter is an effective combination of chemical ionization and electrospray ionization capabilities. Replacing the source takes a matter of seconds.

 

The calibration standard input system can be installed on all types of ionization sources (ESI, APCI, DUIS). This uses a separate ionization capillary that operates independently of the main ionization capillary. This allows the calibration standard to be introduced into the mass spectrometer at any time, there is no need 
to change solution lines and there is no risk of contamination of the main analytical line.

 

To intensify scientific research and develop new analysis methods, Shimadzu additionally offers the Method Scouting software and hardware complex, which eliminates the need to manually select the optimal analysis mode.
The compact floor-standing design allows efficient use of the laboratory workspace.
